Imagine someone diving into the swimming pool with fully clad clothes? Sounds weird isn’t it.

One just cannot imagine going for a swim without wearing a bathing suit.

In fact bathing suit and swimming go hand in hand. These suits are made up of a special material that is not only suitable for the body while swimming, but also prevents certain parts of the body from getting wet.

Available in different forms, some of them are skin- tight while others are loose enough to achieve the desired body comforts.

Some bathing suits are designed in a manner that they merely cover certain parts of the body there by exposing the remaining ones especially thighs and legs.

Professional swimmers often prefer to wear special suits known as jammers, as they are more water resistant and also provide them with an added speed advantage. 

Women on the other hand wear one piece or two-piece bathing suit. One -piece suits covers the upper part of the body and is generally skin tight.

They are available in different varieties and forms such as tank tops style, turtle necks style etc.

Another form of bathing suit used by women is the two-piece suit, which consists of two parts, one covering the upper (mainly the breast area) and the other covering the lower part of the body, thus exposing the in-between area.

Bikini is one of the commonly used two-piece suits. Besides bikini, T-back, tankini are other types of two-piece bathing suits available in the market.
